Amazing Overwatch 2 Clip Shows Wrecking Ball Luring Over Half a Team to Their Deaths

An incredible Overwatch 2 clip shows a lucky Wrecking Ball player killing half of the enemy team by luring them off the edge of the map.

An amazing Overwatch 2 clip shows a Wrecking Ball player wiping out half of the enemy team with the strategic use of one of his abilities. This Overwatch 2 clip is both impressive and hilarious, as it showcases the player’s skill and sheer luck.

Wrecking Ball in Overwatch 2 is one of the most original characters in a first-person shooter. Also known as Hammond, Wrecking Ball is a hamster in a giant mech suit, armed with rapid-fire Quad Cannons and the ability to transform into a giant ball. Wrecking Ball brings a unique and dynamic play style to the game and is undoubtedly a fan favorite. One of his main abilities is his “Grappling Claw,” a hook he can attach to surfaces and swing around the map with. Skilled players can use this ability to perform impressive aerial maneuvers and surprise their opponents, and with enough momentum, the Grappling Claw can be used with deadly force.

Reddit user Leon08x, posted an Overwatch 2 video of Wrecking Ball that involves the Grappling Claw killing multiple enemies, but not directly. In the clip, Wrecking Ball can be seen rolling around the Lijiang Tower map, right before running into the opposition. The enemy team starts chasing after him, and he rolls toward the edge of the map. Then, in a genius move, Wrecking Ball rolls off the edge and fires his Grappling Claw at the wall behind him. The three enemies barrel forward, right off the map to their deaths, with Wrecking Ball safely anchored to the wall. The clever little hamster swings himself back up onto the map and then rolls away unscathed.

Wrecking Ball’s Grappling Claw can attach to walls, ceilings, and even other player’s shields, allowing him to quickly engage or disengage from fights, as seen in the clip. Unfortunately, the three people who ran off the map didn’t count as kills for the player, as he never actually touched them.

It’s always impressive to find a clip of a Wrecking Ball player using their Grappling Claw to kill their opponent in a creative way. Earlier this year, a Reddit user by the name of ImpractialTokers posted an Overwatch 2 Grappling Claw clip that was considered the “best Wrecking Ball kill to date.” In the clip, the Wrecking Ball player rolled off the ledge of a bridge, then swung back toward the map, killing an enemy that was standing in the way.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
