New Glow

Aug 06, 2023

With spooky season just a few weeks away, new glow-in-the-dark Halloween merchandise is beginning to arrive at Walt Disney World. We found a Halloween ear headband, Loungefly mini backpack, and ball caps at Discovery Trading Co. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

This Halloween ear headband features black, fuzzy ears.

Instead of a bow, a pleather piece depicting Minnie Mouse dressed as a bat is in the center. The image uses dark teal and red-orange colors. This piece glows in the dark.

The headband is covered in black pleather and lined with green velour.

The Loungefly features a Mickey jack-o’-lantern with yellow fire in its eyes on the front pocket. He’s also dark teal and red-orange.

The Disney Parks and Loungefly plaque at the top of the bag is dark teal and it’s on a yellow piece of pleather.

The bag also glows in the dark.

The rest of the bag is dark blue — almost black — with an all-over pattern of Mickey & Friends in costume, gravestones, bats, and jack-o’-lanterns.

The side pockets have pink interiors.

The straps are dark teal and yellow.

This black ball cap has Mickey ears on top and features a design resembling a jack-o’-lantern.

The design glows in the dark.

It has a yellow and a teal bat on the back.

This ball cap has a smokey gray tie-dye design.

A ghost bat wearing a blue Mickey ear hat is on the front.

“Boo!” is embroidered on the back.

Will you be celebrating Halloween at Walt Disney World this year? Let us know in the comments.

A mainstay of fall at Walt Disney World is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, an after-hours, hard-ticket event at Magic Kingdom. The event takes place on the following dates:

It is sold out on Halloween night.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party entertainment includes Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade. Performed twice nightly, weather permitting, the parade features Disney Villains, Haunted Mansion characters, Mickey & Friends, and more. This year, Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle will appear in the parade as the Sanderson Sisters of “Hocus Pocus.”

The Headless Horseman usually rides ahead of the parade. Last year, Max Goof performed as Powerline in a parade pre-show.

The actual Sanderson Sisters host the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular,” summoning various Disney Villains for a stage show in front of Cinderella Castle.

Jack Skellington of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” hosts Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, a nighttime spectacular including fireworks and castle projections.

The event also includes special food and beverage items.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the only times adult guests can wear costumes to the parks.
